Meet our newest Nursing Graduates

A passionate group of nursing and midwifery graduates has joined the frontline of Logan and Beaudesert Health Service, ready to build meaningful careers caring for others.

The 69 nursing and 14 midwifery graduates will spend the next year gaining clinical experience across a diverse range of areas, including birthing and paediatric units, palliative care, aged care, mental health, rehabilitation, intensive care, and emergency departments.

Some graduates will be among the 60 per cent of Queensland’s new recruits heading to rural, regional, or remote areas, with a number joining Beaudesert Hospital as the second-ever cohort to rotate through its Emergency Department.

Graduate Coordinator Helen Maney said she was delighted that LBHS remained a sought-after choice for new graduates.

“Our competitive numbers are a testament to the fact that Metro South is a great place to start a nursing or midwifery career,” she said.

Helen said the newest recruits could look forward to 12 months of vital real-world training and support to ensure the community continued to receive excellent care.

“We have an amazing and supportive team here, committed not only to delivering safe patient care but also to nurturing the next generation of leaders. We can’t wait to watch our graduates shine during their time with us.”
