Magnet® redesignation 2024: have your say

We became the first healthcare organisation in the Southern Hemisphere to achieve Magnet® designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Centre (ANCC).

We've held this status since 2004 and are 1 of 2 Queensland Hospitals recognised under the Magnet Recognition Program®. The international program provides us with a roadmap to nursing excellence.

In November 2024, we're applying for re-designation as a Magnet organisation.

Patients, family members, staff, and interested parties who would like to comment on the process are encouraged to do so via email and direct mail to the Magnet Program Office by 2 November 2024.

Details on how to submit your feedback are provided in the public notice.

We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients.

We plan to open all new services and facilities by 2027.
