The new Minor Injury and Illness Clinic located at the Meadowbrook Health Centre is now officially open, joining a growing list of LBHS facilities delivering high-quality healthcare closer to home.
The clinic will ease pressure on the busy Logan Hospital Emergency Department by offering same-day, walk-in care for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses.
Nikola Puljic was the first patient through the doors of the new facility that also offers allied health services, pathology and imaging, and a satellite pharmacy under one roof.
From 22 July, the Centre will also officially open its Women’s Health Services, providing maternity and gynaecology outpatient appointments, antenatal services, and dedicated spaces for group therapy and treatment.
Conveniently located on Nestor Drive, directly opposite Logan Hospital and adjacent to Meadowbrook Shopping Centre, the Centre is also just a short walk from Loganlea train station.
Access to the Meadowbrook Health Centre is easy with a patient drop-off and pick-up area at the entrance and safe, undercover parking.
The opening of the Meadowbrook Health Centre was made possible through $33.4 million in capital funding from the Commonwealth Government under the Community Health and Hospitals Program, with ongoing service delivery funded by the Queensland Government.
