Amid growing speculation and excitement we can now confirm that Spider-Man is on the loose in Building 4!
The Logan Hospital Expansion Team has urged the hospital community to remain calm, assuring everyone that the friendly neighbourhood superhero is simply curious about the progress of Logan Hospital’s expansion project.
“We can confirm that Spider-Man will be hanging around to keep a close eye on things as construction progresses and we start celebrating key milestones in the project,” Senior Communications and Engagement Officer Karla Allen said.
“You can expect to see him popping up in different places around Building 4 and you can follow his journey as he explores the site.
“We just hope we can keep him from scaling the scaffolding and swinging from the ceiling!”
The web-slinging visitor’s on-site presence is part of a fun campaign to increase awareness and generate excitement about the hospital’s major expansion project that will deliver more healthcare services for the growing Logan community.
The idea followed the success of a visit to the Children’s Unit by Dr Spider-Man earlier this year, when he brought smiles to the faces of little patients and their families, showing just how much children love a friendly superhero.
"Building on that enthusiasm, a life-size Spider-Man cut-out will appear in visible locations around Building 4, giving staff, patients and visitors the chance to put their superhero detective skills to the test and track down his latest hiding spot," Karla said. “By bringing Spidey into the expansion project, we hope to spark curiosity, encourage people to follow our progress and help families learn more about the new facilities and services to come.
"We encourage everyone to stay updated as he makes his way around the expansion."
