Logan and Beaudesert Health Service has proudly welcomed a new wave of early-career health professionals, with medical interns, nursing graduates and midwifery graduates all beginning their journeys across the service.
This year, 45 medical interns (pictured top) have joined Logan and Beaudesert hospitals, bringing with them diverse backgrounds, fresh perspectives and a shared commitment to becoming outstanding doctors.
Over the next 12 months, they will work closely with experienced clinicians across general medicine, emergency care, surgery and mental health, gaining hands-on experience while exploring future career pathways.
Alongside them, a new group of nursing and midwifery graduates (pictured bottom) have stepped into frontline roles, ready to build meaningful careers caring for the community. The graduates will rotate across birthing, paediatrics, aged and palliative care, mental health, rehab, acute medical and surgical services, renal and transit care, and emergency and intensive care.
Beaudesert Hospital’s graduation program continues to grow as well with new nurses and a midwife from this intake joining their team.
Nurse Educator and Graduate Coordinator Helen Maney said it was encouraging to see Logan and Beaudesert Health Service continue to attract strong interest from new graduates.
“Our competitive numbers reflect that Metro South is a great place to start a nursing or midwifery career,” she said. “Graduates can expect 12 months of valuable real-world experience, supported by an amazing team committed to safe patient care and to nurturing the next generation of healthcare leaders.”
As these new doctors, nurses and midwives begin their professional journeys, LBHS looks forward to supporting their growth and watching them make a positive difference for patients and families across the region.
