Our Addiction and Mental Health Services (AMHS) Plan 2026–2031 outlines how we will develop and improve specialist addiction and mental health services across Metro South Health over the next five years.
The plan shows how we will:
- care for people with compassion and understanding
- make sure our services are connected and focussed on recovery
- value consumers, families, carers and kin as equal partners in planning and delivering care.
Our service directions
Our service directions for 2026–2031 include:
- caring for our people, fostering wellbeing, excellence and leadership
- delivering culturally safe, person-centred care to our diverse community
- collaborating and planning for the future to deliver great care
- we are innovative and continuously improve to deliver evidence-informed care.
How we developed the plan
We connected with people with lived experience, carers, clinicians, staff, and community members to develop our plan.
We also made sure our plan aligns with the Metro South Health Health Service Plan 2024–2028 and the Brisbane South Joint Regional Mental Health, Suicide Prevention, Alcohol and Other Drug Plan 2025–2030.
