Arriving at hospital
Pick up and drop off
We have pick up and drop off areas outside the main hospital entrance. This is the closest spot if you have an outpatient appointment or you're having a breast screen appointment.
There's also an area outside the emergency department to drop off and pick up emergency, x-ray or endoscopy patients.
The Allied Health Parking Permit drop off and pick up bays can be used if you have an Allied Health outpatient appointment. There is a 15min time limit on this area.
If you need to borrow a wheelchair, please ask a volunteer or the concierge at the main entrance. You can also ask our staff at the reception desk for help.
Parking
Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is on the corner of Kessels Road and Troughton Road in Coopers Plains.
Parking is free of charge.
Parking at QEII Hospital has changed while we build a new car park. Plan your visit ahead and allow time to find a park.
The changes include:
- P1 public car park is closed for works
- P2 car park is now open to patients, visitors and staff 24 hours a day.
You can get to the P2 car park at 129 Middle Street, Coopers Plains. Look for the signs at the car park entrance. To get directions and pin for the P2 car park, see QEII Hospital Car Park on Google Maps.
We have a car park transport service that runs 24 hours a day. If you need a wheelchair or need help getting to and from your car you can call 0477 821 250 for assistance.
Accessible parking
We have accessible parking in the P3 car park and outside the emergency department. You must display an Australian or international disability parking permit to park here.
Parking fines and infringements
From 1 March 2025 we can give you a fine of up to $322.60 if you
- park in a patient only or disability parking without a permit
- park in a no standing area
- do not follow the instructions of the parking officer, like moving your car when the parking officer asks you to move it.
If you think the fine is wrong, or if there were special circumstances, you can ask us to review the fine.
