Director of Metro South Kidney and Transplant Services, Professor David Johnson PSM has been awarded the prestigious 2026 Oreopoulos Award, in recognition of his lifetime achievements and leadership in the field of peritoneal dialysis.
The International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD) Scholarships and Awards Committee has recognised him as both a clinician and researcher (more than 500 articles published on PD), with his work impacting the lives of many patients in Australia and worldwide.
His international leadership in peritoneal dialysis is evident through his lifelong career and peer reviewed publications but also the extensive list of titles that guide the reach of his work.
