Emergency care

All our hospitals are open as usual.

If you need to come to hospital, please ensure you bring any regular medications with you.

In an emergency, you should call Triple Zero (000).

An alternative to attending an emergency department may be to connect online to the Virtual Emergency Care Service which is open 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week. The Virtual Emergency Care Service has specialist clinicians available to treat a range of emergency conditions virtually.

You can also contact 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84), 24 hours a day, if you need health advice.

Community centres and clinics

Community centres and clinics have returned to normal operating hours.

The following facilities are temporarily closed and will reopen as soon as possible:

Scheduled appointments and surgeries

All scheduled appointments and surgeries are going ahead as usual  – unless we contact you beforehand, please come to your appointment.

If you have a scheduled appointment and are unable to make the appointment due to the severe weather, don’t worry, we can reschedule it for you. Contact the number on your appointment information letter to let our team know. If you can’t find your appointment letter, contact the hospital main phone number.

Visiting hospital

Visitors are encouraged to prioritise their safety when considering visiting the hospital during the severe weather.

We want everyone to remain safe, so please don’t travel when it is not safe to do. We encourage you to check your route to our facilities to make sure it is clear:
