Families and children enjoyed a morning of fun at Redland Health Service Centre recently as part of Children’s Week celebrations across Bayside Health Service.
Senior Social Worker Megan Verner said the event was a great way to celebrate Children’s Week and raise awareness of children’s rights.
“This year’s theme reminds us that everyone should know about children’s rights.
“Events like this help families feel supported and confident in accessing local services early,” Megan said.
The outdoor courtyard near the Paediatric Clinics came alive with story time, colourful play activities and a range of resources from local family and child services.
Lisa Ellis, who attended with her nine-month-old son Theo, said she appreciated the friendly atmosphere and practical information.
“It was helpful having information about playgroups and children’s health all in the one spot,” Ms Ellis said.
“Theo had a great time, though I think he might have eaten a bit too much rice from the play pit!”
