At 38 weeks pregnant, Hannah is excited and ready to welcome her second baby at Redland Hospital.

Hannah recently visited the hospital for a check-up and said the support she had received through the hospital's Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) had made a real difference throughout her pregnancy.

“The MGP has been great. Whenever I’ve needed my midwife, she’s been available, and that has been really comforting,” Hannah said. “I’ve seen her pretty much every second week throughout my pregnancy, and sometimes every week.”

The MGP model provides women with continuity of care from a known midwife or small team of midwives throughout pregnancy, birth and the early postnatal period.

Hannah said having a familiar midwife by her side had made this pregnancy a really positive experience.

“It’s been perfect. I’m very happy and ready to have a baby!” she said.
