Kacey Cunington celebrates her achievements

Administration Manager Kacey Cunington has been named the 2025 Beaudesert Hospital Staff Member of the Year in recognition of her outstanding leadership and impact across the hospital.

In her first year in the role, Kacey is credited with transforming the culture, morale and effectiveness of the administration team as well as improving the overall patient experience.

Kacey said she was surprised to hear her name announced at the awards ceremony late last year.

“We have such an incredible calibre of staff here, and I was up against some amazing nominees,” she said. “Being named Staff Member of the Year is such a meaningful reminder that the effort I put in every day really does make a difference.”

A humble and compassionate leader, Kacey was quick to acknowledge the contribution of her team, describing them as a ‘wonderful’. She emphasised that the achievements of the past year were only possible through their collective hard work and commitment.

Kacey’s many nominations highlighted her impact well beyond administration, notably her work in the creation of Metro South Health’s first Patient Travel Officer role.

Her leadership was also central to the successful implementation of Prisoner Electronic Medical Records at Palen Creek Correctional Centre, as well as collaboration on the rollout of telehealth services at Beaudesert Hospital, that went live in July following months of consultation, training and system development.

Beaudesert Hospital is very fortunate to have Kacey on their team. Congratulations to a very deserving 2025 Staff Member of the Year.
