The addition of a new door decal has transformed a hospital room into a calming country escape at Beaudesert Hospital.

Featuring a beautiful local image captured by Operational Officer - and photography enthusiast - Adrian Budd, the decal has created a more welcoming environment for patients and families in a room often used for end-of-life care.

Nurse Unit Manager Amanda Cox said the installation was made possible thanks to funding from the Beaudesert Hospital Auxiliary, whose ongoing support continued to enhance patient comfort and wellbeing across the facility.

“The addition of the image to the doors brings life, warmth and comfort to the room, which for our palliative care patients and their families is particularly important,” Amanda said. "Research shows bringing light and life into a palliative care space positively impacts the patient's experience.

“We hope the local imagery chosen will uplift moods and make our patients’ stay that little bit more comfortable.”
