QEII staff turned heads and hearts at the third annual Bling-a-Bra competition on 29 October, dazzling passersby with a kaleidoscope of creativity this Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
From vintage glam to spook-tacular creations, this year’s entries were a bold celebration of hope, healing, and a whole lot of fun. Sixteen entries lit up the room, including QEII's first ever entry from a male staff member, which earned itself a high commendation in the competition.
First place: Metamorphosis, by Sally Hutchinson, OSO Endoscopy.
Second place: Breast In-plants, by Paula Thwaites, AO BreastScreen Qld QEII.
Third place: Journey to healing: Eat, Walk & Engage, by Sarah Wilson, AIN.
Highly commended: Little shop (cancer) of Horrors, by Baily Drew, AO OPD.
Every entry helped raise funds for women undergoing breast cancer treatment at QEII, because fashion with compassion never goes out of style.
Big congratulations to all our creative entries!
