82 junior doctors are joining the ranks at PA Hospital this month as the largest cohort of medical interns across Metro South Health for 2026.
The eager interns will receive high-quality training over the 12-month program, gaining valuable hands-on experience through clinical rotations in a range of areas.
Dr Chloe Hassall is one of the new staff members and is looking forward to officially embarking on her medical career close to home.
“I’m a Brisbane girl and family is really important to me, so being able to stay here with all the people I’ve grown up with is such a privilege and I’m just so excited to start at PAH,” she said.
Chloe completed her undergraduate degree in 2021 before finishing her medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2025.
“I’m not 100% sure which specific speciality I want to pursue just yet, but I do know I’m interested in doing physician training.
“That’s why I’m really looking forward to doing Gastroenterology and Gen Med rotations this year. I did a bit of my UQ training at PA Hospital and I love the fact that it’s a world-class facility with so many people to learn from.”
PA Hospital is proud to offer a supportive and rewarding environment to help nurture the next generation of doctors.
A huge welcome to all the new medical interns for 2026! We wish you all the best as you embark on this milestone moment in your medical careers.
