Two dedicated Logan Hospital clinicians have been awarded for their exceptional work supporting women with complex pregnancy needs.
Acting Midwife Navigator Natasha Grieg and Obstetrics and Gynaecology Principal House Officer Dr Stephanie Galibert received the Engagement Award earlier this year for their compassionate, collaborative approach to care.
Natasha, who has been in the navigator role for almost a year, said she was passionate about working with women and advocating for women to optimise and achieve their perinatal goals to create positive outcomes.
Dr Galibert, now in her third year in the OBGYN department, said it was a privilege to be involved in the care of women during very vulnerable times in their lives.
“Helping them navigate this time and supporting their journey is so fulfilling,” she said.
Their roles are part of the Complex Care team, which supports women facing multiple challenges during pregnancy.
The pair said engaging with patients and colleagues was key to improving outcomes for women.
“It was wonderful to be recognised for this award as engagement is an integral part of this role,” said Natasha.
