Since launching in June 2023, nominations for the 'Our values' staff awards have steadily climbed and are now at an all-time high.
From wards to offices across both Logan and Beaudesert hospitals, staff have embraced the opportunity to shine a spotlight on peers who go above and beyond.
The most recent awards saw the second highest number of nominees in the award's history, with 78 incredible individuals nominated for living and breathing our Metro South Health values every day.
Human Resources Assistant Consultant Lisa Peiniger said her team had the pleasure of collating the heartfelt nominations each quarter, with each one celebrating the remarkable people of LBHS.
“This growth reflects how well the awards have been embraced across our teams, reinforcing a culture of appreciation and recognition,” she said. “A special thank you goes to our Executive team for their continued support and presence at each awards ceremony. Their commitment to honouring staff helps make the Our Values initiative not only visible, but meaningful.”
Lisa said the quarterly award ceremonies also recognised Length of Service milestones and Partnering with Consumers achievements.
“Last month we proudly celebrated five staff members who reached 30 years of service, along with 13 dedicated team members who marked 20 years with Queensland Health,” she said.
