As Logan's Child Protection Unit kicks off their annual Christmas toy drive, they’ve set a challenge for hospital staff - to match or exceed last year’s impressive donation total.

Senior Social Worker Letitcha Porter said the generosity of staff last year meant the team was able to provide Christmas gifts to all of its local Child safety Service Centres.

"Each year, individual service centres hold a Christmas party for children residing in out of home care and the wonderful donations from staff have provided joy and smiles to many children in care," she said.

"To ensure gifts are perfectly matched to each child, we ask that presents remain unwrapped.

"Staff can bring their gifts to the PANDA Unit delivery zone on Level 3, Building 3 Logan Hospital until 2 December."
