Logan Hospital proudly supported Crazy Socks 4 Docs Day

Things got toe-tally wild across our facilities for this year’s Crazy Socks 4 Docs celebrations!

From personalised faces to foodie favourites and mismatched masterpieces, our staff stepped up in style to help raise awareness for the mental health and wellbeing of our medical workforce.

While the socks brought colour and plenty of laughs to our facilities, they also sparked important conversations about the need to look out for one another, especially in such a high-stakes profession.

Beaudesert Hospital’s Senior Medical Officer Dr Michael Hurley said the day was a powerful reminder of the importance of connection.

“Being a rural doctor is incredibly rewarding, but it does come with its challenges,” he said. “Caring for our own mental health and checking in on each other is vital in our profession. I encourage all clinicians to stay connected, speak openly, and allow themselves to be vulnerable - we’re all human.”

Crazy Socks 4 Docs Day is an annual event held to raise awareness and encourage open conversation around mental health in healthcare workers. It also aims to break down stigma and promote practical support.

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved and helped make mental health a priority, one crazy sock at a time.
