Logan Hospital is delivering more and more specialist adult cancer care since launching its new service in May.

The start of Logan's service followed the opening of cancer care services at the Eight Mile Plains Satellite Health Centre in May 2024, further expanding services and improving care locally.

More than 500 patients have now benefitted from receiving high-quality cancer care in the heart of Logan.

Logan Hospital's Cancer Care Services provides admitted day treatment and outpatient support for eligible patients requiring cancer therapies, helping meet the growing needs of the Logan–Beaudesert community.

Patients can access a range of treatments including chemotherapy, cancer drug therapies and day therapy services with a doctor’s referral.

The service operates alongside Logan Hospital's Paediatric Cancer Service, which has been delivered in partnership with Queensland Children's Hospital since 2009.
