She's been a much-loved face around Logan Hospital for more than 15 years but Outpatients Department Practice Manager Sue MacPherson this month said goodbye for a sweeter life in retirement.
Sue's bubbly and happy personality and her constant smile will be missed but she leaves behind a team all the better for her kindness, patience and positive leadership.
Sue said she was grateful to everyone she had worked with.
"I came to Logan Hospital for a four-week project in 2009 and I'm still here."
Colleague and friend Kelly Graf said Sue had worked tirelessly over the past 10 years to build an exceptional outpatient service and that her commitment to her role and to Logan Hospital had been outstanding.
"The team she led always knew she had their backs and that the best interests of our patients were at the forefront of everything she did.
"She excelled in her engagement with patients, clinicians, external providers, auxiliary teams, and executive services and these strong partnerships consistently ensured the best possible outcomes for the outpatient department."
Kelly said Sue had also been an incredible source of support, always making space for new ideas and encouraging innovative approaches to shaping a more productive service.
Congratulations Sue on a wonderful career and thank you for your contribution to Logan and Beaudesert Health Service. We wish you a happy retirement with your family and especially your gorgeous new granddaughter Pearl.
