A generous donation of 12 beautiful wooden digital photo frames is helping bring comfort and connection to palliative care patients at Logan Hospital.

Patient Gordon Pink was the first to receive a frame, just in time for Christmas, and said he was delighted at the thought of enjoying a slideshow of cherished memories from his hospital bed.

Once installed across Ward 3C, the frames will allow Gordon and all palliative care patients to view photos of their families and other treasured images during their stay.

Nurse Unit Manager Gillian Myles said the donation was made possible thanks to Community Bank Logan Chief Executive Officer Kate Wakeling.

“In palliative care, it’s often the personal touches, like these digital photo frames, that have the biggest impact on our patients and their families,” Gill said. “We are so grateful to have the support of Kate and her team.”
