What began as feedback during her daughter’s hospital stay has grown into an ongoing role as a consumer partner for local mum, Chantal.
After spending five weeks with her daughter in Logan Hospital’s Ward 2N, Chantal was approached by Nurse Unit Manager Kath Lawlor with the opportunity to join the LBHS Consumer Advisory Group.
Recognising that her experience could help improve care for other families, Chantal was eager to get involved.
Since joining in February, she has contributed to projects with Ward 2N and Maternity and even sat on the recruitment panel for the Director of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Chantal said she was proud to give back to the hospital, especially to the 2N team who made such a lasting impact on her family during those early weeks.
