Metro South Health Chief Executive Noelle Cridland has praised Logan Hospital’s Dial-a-Dizzy Team after its innovative work received international recognition.
Noelle said having the program’s work showcased in the international journal Neurologic Clinics was an achievement worth shouting from the rooftops!
Led by Consultant Vestibular Physiotherapist Leia Barnes in collaboration with Johns Hopkins - USA, TEMPiS TeleStroke Centre - Germany and RPAH - Sydney, the paper showcased the amazing work of Logan's Complex Vestibular Service and Physiotherapy Department.
Leia said the team was incredibly proud to be recognised on the world stage.
"This was an invited manuscript in a special edition, Dizziness & Vertigo in the Era of Digital Medicine," she said.
"I did not have the option of including other authors at Logan Hospital but wanted to shine the light on all those involved in Dial-a-Dizzy here at Logan Hospital including Director ENT A/Prof Bernard Whitfield, Advanced Vestibular Physiotherapists Kayla Kieseker, Jacinta Foster and Amber Saxty, and Physiotherapist John Mallon.
