Welcoming our 2025 graduate midwives

Each year, Bayside Health Service helps bring more than 1500 babies into the world and recently Redland Hospital welcomed seven new graduate midwives to support local families through pregnancy and birth.

Midwifery Educator Annie Hampson said the program equips graduates with the knowledge and support they need to transition into professional practice.

"Our program provides structured support and hands-on experience, so midwives can refine their skills under the guidance of experienced clinical facilitators," she said.

The program ensures midwives gain confidence while working across different maternity settings.

"Our graduate midwives are joining an experienced and dedicated team that values learning and collaboration," Annie added.

"This program provides them with the opportunity to apply their studies in a real-world setting while being supported every step of the way."

Bayside Health Service looks forward to seeing its newest midwives grow in their roles and contribute to the care and wellbeing of mothers and families across the Redlands Coast.
