Graduate Registered Nurse Manisha Turner said Bayside Health Service's strong connection to the local community and her positive experience as an Undergraduate Student in Nursing made joining the health service a natural choice for her graduate year.

"I’ve always been passionate about health and helping others, and I wanted a career where I could truly make a difference close to home," Manisha said.

"Living locally, it felt like the perfect fit for both my career and my family."

Manisha said working in the Emergency Department as a student gave her valuable insight into the fast-paced hospital environment and helped her build confidence as part of a team.

"On top of starting this new chapter, I’m also navigating life as a new mother to a seven-month-old, which brings its own challenges, balancing breastfeeding, study expectations, and staying connected to the things I love outside of work.

"It's a big transition, but I’m choosing to embrace it and do my best, with a great support network around me.

"I’m excited to apply what I’ve learned, build my skills across different areas of the hospital, and develop resilience as I navigate this next chapter," she said.

Bayside Health Service’s graduate program supports nurses to gain practical experience across a range of clinical areas, helping them build a strong foundation for their careers.
