Bayside Health Service’s Senior Speech Pathologist Sarah Fulton has donated a canvas artwork to Macleay Ward (Dementia Care Unit) at Redland Hospital in memory of her mother, Jenifer Gordon (1947–2025).

Jenifer was born and raised in Wynnum and lived in the Bayside community all her life.

The artwork features familiar local scenes, the jetty, wading pool and Lota mangroves, originally created to bring her comfort and help her reminisce during her later years with dementia.

Sarah said she hoped the piece would offer the same calm and connection for others.

“These places meant a lot to Mum. I hope this artwork brings a sense of home to patients and families,” she said.

Bayside Health Service Director of Allied Health Michael Harris thanked Sarah for her generosity.

“This is a thoughtful and heartfelt gift that will provide comfort to our patients and families,” he said.
