The latest Bayside Health Service Our Values Staff Recognition Awards attracted 39 individual and team nominations showing just how much Bayside values and appreciates one another, says Executive Director Greg Nolan.
He congratulated all nominees and award recipients and said whether staff worked directly with patients or provided essential support behind the scenes, every nominee should be proud of this recognition from their peers.
Operational Services officer Shree Adhikari was named the overall winner after being recognised for consistently demonstrating all six Metro South Health values.
The teams Shree works with said his interactions with patients who lived with cognitive impairment were kind and patient.
"This nomination highlights Shree's kindness, professionalism and commitment to patient wellbeing."
Neonatal Unit Registered Midwife Natalie Forbes received a special Highly Commended Award for the compassion and care she provides to families during some of their most challenging moments.
"Natalie worked really hard to ensure that one of our premature babies got to spend some time with mum on Mother's Day; she went above and beyond the requirements of her role," Greg said.
The awards recognise staff who demonstrate Metro South Health’s values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Engagement and Excellence, with nominations submitted by colleagues who have witnessed those values in action.
