Bayside Health Service lit up the Metro South Health Nursing and Midwifery Awards this week, taking home three of the six award categories.

Redland Hospital’s Anne-Beth Hampson was named Metro South Health Midwife of the Year, Candice Lancaster received Metro South Health Graduate Midwife of the Year, and Lucas Bertolone was awarded Metro South Health Graduate of the Year.

Director of Nursing and Midwifery Amanda Garner said she was incredibly proud of the team, especially Bayside’s newest clinicians.

“It’s a well-deserved result for our staff, and it speaks to the culture of mentoring, support and education we have built at Bayside,” she said.

“Lucas and Candice are at the start of their careers, and already they are demonstrating the Metro South Health values that will contribute to them continuing to be excellent nurses and midwives.”

The Awards are held each year to recognise exceptional care and contributions across Metro South Health, Queensland’s largest public health service.

“These results show that at Bayside, we grow our own and they’re among the very best,” Ms Garner said.
