This year's theme, “Beyond Boundaries: Innovating for Better Health”, highlights breaking barriers and expanding horizons, which aligns with the idea of research evolving.
Logan Hospital, serving a rapidly growing and diverse community, is dedicated to improving health outcomes through innovative and world-class research. The symposium will feature local researchers, a keynote presentation, poster displays, and networking opportunities, with both in-person and online participation options.

Professor Steven McPhail
From Promise to Practice: Digital Health and AI Transformation and Sustainment in Real World Care
Director, Australian Centre for Health Services Innovation, QUT
Professor McPhail is Director of the Australian Centre for Health Services Innovation and Centre for Healthcare Transformation at QUT, where he is also the Professor of Health Services Research. He also works in Metro South Health advancing research in the Digital Health and Informatics Directorate. His research focuses on the intersection between Digital Health and AI Implementation, Health Economics and Implementation Science, with more than 350 published works. His research has been cited in key in policy documents from WHO, World Bank, OECD and EU, among other national and international agencies.
