Let us introduce you to a very proud and passionate Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Mental Health Coordinator at PA Hospital.

His name? Bond. James Bond.

He’s been working at Metro South Health for the past 007 years and while he’s no secret agent, he does have a secret talent for helping others.

“I have a passion for looking after my people in the community and here in the hospital. I get to know them and their families,” said James.

“I really enjoy coming to work because they’re like one big family here.”

His role involves providing culturally appropriate care to mental health patients both in PAH and beyond, with his work also stretching out into the community.

James’ compassion, understanding, and dedication are greatly appreciated by patients and their loved ones.

And with a name like Bond – it’s a surefire way to break the ice.

“When I walk into the ward I’ll get asked ‘are you James Bond?’

“Then I’ll get introduced to new nursing staff and they won’t believe me,” he said.

Thank you for everything you do James in caring for others. Your hard work and commitment does not go unnoticed.

What a helpful chap.
